Wisdom of Disease 14: Message of Giddiness 疾病的智慧 系列 14: 头晕的启示

This is a story of a 11-year old boy who was brought by his distraught mother 10 years ago. His complaint was giddiness, nausea and choking sensation of the throat. He had since refused to go to school.

He was brought to see a few doctors to no avail. A medium was even consulted.

Upon examination of the child, I prescribed a homeopathic medicine. Before they left my clinic, I asked his mother to think about what could have happened to him before this problem started.

On the same afternoon(obviously he did not get well), I received a telephone call from his mother informing that there was no improvement at all. She recalled that her husband did inform her that the boy was reprimanded by his teacher in school for some mischief. Since then, the boy refused to go to school.

By reassessing his whole symptoms, I immediately asked the mother to come back and collect another medicine called Ignatia amara. Bingo, his condition improved immediately! Most wonderful thing is that he went back to school the next day!

Well, this shows that the emotional disturbance is enough to bring on physical symptoms which act as an ‘excuse’ for not going to school. He reacted to adult reprimands by developing some symptoms in order to manipulate the environment. It is a form of silent protest.

When the right medicine strikes, the puzzle was solved.

在之前，妈妈曾带了他看好几位医生，都无济于事，甚至还带他去‘问神’呢！

检查之后，便开了个顺势医疗药物。还没离开诊所时，我叮铃妈妈去想想，在孩子没发病之前，是否发生了什么事的。

当天的下午，接到这妈妈的电话（心理就知道孩子的病没好），告知我孩子一点都没有好转。她回想起她先生曾经告诉她说，孩子在学校捣乱,被老师大骂一顿。

我从新评估整个症状，马上通知她再过来拿药，开了另一个顺势药物 Ignatia amara。 很神奇的，他的病状马上好转。更加奇妙的是，他竟然在第二天上学了！

这显示了情绪的干扰，足于引发生理的症状，其实是一个“借口”来逃避学校。这孩子在被骂之后产生一些生理症状，其用意是因为不想上学，而产生这些症状来当理由，是一种无言的抗议。

当对症下药，病迷马上解开！
