Wisdom of Dis-ease 13: Message of Baby with Eczema 疾病的智慧：系列 13 – 皮肤病的启示

A baby of about 9 months was brought to my attention for his eczema on face and other body parts of recent origin. Mother managed to capture the moment the child was intensely suffering while having the itch.

During the itch, baby was screaming and howling. Nothing mother did could appease the baby. He was scratching intensely with great anguish. Baby could not sleep well at all.

With the picture of the child during the itch, I prescribed a Homeopathic medicine,

Chamomilla, which did wonder to the child’s suffering. The initial response was that the baby slept well soon after taking the medicine. Smiling face quickly appeared on his face and return of appetite. This is followed by progressive clearing of his skin condition.

Very often, during the time of illness, there will be concomitant emotional upstir. For Homeopathy, this the gem of our prescription which will lead us towards the medicine needed by the patients. Mental, emotional and physical manifestations are happening within a patient and hence the link is obvious and has to be taken into consideration in any sick person.

Homeopathic process of cure is in accordance to Hering’s Law of Cure. Healing takes place from up to down, important to unimportant organs, from inside to outside and finally, later illness heals earlier than earlier illness. This baby’s immediate response was good sleep, emotionally more stable and improvement of appetite, followed by progressive improvement of his skin condition. Hence, whenever I see patients improve according to Hering’s Law of Cure, I know I have got the perfect prescription for the patients.
