Wisdom of Dis-ease 8: Message of a Child with Fever 疾病的智慧：系列 8 – 发烧的启示

A 5-year-old girl was having fever for 10 days for which she was admitted to hospital. She was diagnosed to have urinary tract infection causing the prolonged fever. The child’s mother was not satisfied with the hospital finding and treatment as the child did not improve at all with medication.

I asked the mother whether there was anything happened before the fever started. True enough, she witnessed her father ill-treating her mother using the cigarette butt. The child’s expression was anger and she was holding a fist.

With that, I prescribed the Homeopathic remedy, Staphisagria, which cleared her fever within half a day!

When the child witnessed the cruelty of her father towards her mother, she wanted to protect her mother but she couldn’t. The repressed anger caused her immune system to be lowered and hence she was prone to infection. Once the emotional disturbance was cleared with treatment, the repressed anger was cleared and she was back to normal again.

This example illustrate very well that emotional disturbance definitely plays a role in lowering the immune system. In my clinical experience, this is often the case, particularly in fever and other infection of children, where very often antibiotics were prescribed but fail. In this case, the fever cleared (and of course the urinary tract infection) once the emotional disturbance is dealt with.

Homeopathic remedies have the capacity to deal with the emotional disturbances and thus the remedies treat the root of the problem.

这小女孩目睹爸爸对妈妈的残酷，虽然很想保护妈妈，但是心有余而力不足。被压抑的愤怒降低了免疫系统，导致很容易受到细菌感染。当情绪的干扰被处理后，愤怒消失，病也好了。

这病例的提示是情绪的干扰的确会降低免疫力。于我的临床经验，经常发现此现象，尤其是孩子的发烧、咳嗽、伤风或其他的细菌感染，抗生素也可能无效。情绪处理后,小女孩的烧与尿道发炎就痊愈了！
