Having gone through the 2 days of painting, I was more at ease.

The story went on quite long, one after another stages of giving and giving and finally the return just poured. The message of we reap what we sow.

During the afternoon painting session, it was fun creating the stars in the sky. The method she taught had never crossed my mind before and it turned out so well with little tricks with water and paint.

This time, my human figure was big and obvious! I compared the human figures over the 3 days, wow, now I dared to ‘face’ a human! I supposed the 3 days is a process of metamorphosis process where I gradually overcome my fear of painting a human figure. This is analogous for me to be more able to face human being in reality.

Now and again I faced difficulties. How much water to use? How to mix colours? How to paint it alive?

In the midst of mishandling, I accidentally dropped a big drop of water onto the top of the girl’s left shoulder. Oooops, what a blunder! What shall I do? If I were paint again trying to match the background, then it would be a big hassle as I could never get that similar tone of colour. I pondered for quite a while and then decided to sit back to see what I could do to it.

Suddenly, “Yes, make it like a spark just like the coin struck her left shoulder with a ‘Ting’!” So, the painting was alive!

I was excited at the sharing session as I shared my process especially the ‘Ting’ moment!

Susan asked me how many times I have done paintings before. I counted and hardly more than 5 or 6. She said the painting looked very professional! The reason was there were not much being painted but brought out the real message of the story! This sent me to cloud 9…..
