Wisdom of Astrology 1: In Search of Direction of The Soul 占星的智慧 1 ： 探索今生灵魂的方向

In Astrology, one of the most important features is the Moon’s Nodes. It is not our Sun sign as commonly known to most of us. It is neither a planet or star but a point of intersection of Moon’s orbit and the ecliptic orbit of the Sun. Moon symbolizes the past and the subconscious whereas the Sun symbolizes the future and the conscious. Thus, symbolically, the Moon’s Nodes symbolizes the link between the past and future. It is something that we need to balance in this life.

When we are born, we bring along the past memories, attitudes, habitual patterns as well as talents which serve as gifts we bring forward to this life. This is represented by the South Node. And hence we are very familiar with our South Node patterns. Whereas the North Node is the unfamiliar part of us where we need to develop in order to balance the familiar South Node. Thus, North Node is the direction of our soul in terms of our attitudes and behaviour. It may be an uphill road but it is something we need to work towards in order to make our life comfortable and meaningful.

My South Node is in Aries which means that I brought along the attitude of Aries into this life. Aries, being an fire sign, has the tendency to be independent, pioneering, proactive, action-orientated as well as impatient, hurried, domineering, self-centered, head strong, easily angered etc. Often time I hurt others without realizing it. So, if I continue to manifest these so-called negative attitudes and behaviours without awareness, I may land up with problems such as health issues, relationship problem etc. However, the positive attributes is a gift which I can contribute to the society.

Astrology has shown me the way to be aware of my negative attitudes and behaviours of my South Node. With this awareness, I am working towards my North Node of Libra. Libra features harmony and peace, balance, equality, tact and diplomacy, which were lacking in me. However, over time through painful process in relationship, I am slowly realizing the virtue to Libra. My temper mellows, more smiles on my face and easier to get along with. Life has become less strenuous and more at peace.

南北月交点是西方占星学里，扮演一个很重要的角色。它不是我们的太阳星座，也不是行星或恒星，而是太阳与月亮围绕地球的交叉点（占星学是以地球为中心，所以看起来是太阳围绕着地球）。月亮象征着过去与潜意识，而太阳象征着未来与显意识。所以，月交点象征着过去世与今世的连接，也是我们需要平衡的特质。

我们出世时，我们带来过去世的记忆、心态、惯性与才华。这就是南交点的特点。所以南交点是我们很熟悉的模式。然而，北交点则是我们不熟悉，但却是我们需要发展的特质，以平衡熟悉的南交点。所以，北交点就是我们今世灵魂的方向，着重于我们的心态和态度。这条路是个蛮艰难的路，然而，我们务必发展它的特质，生命才会有舒服与更加有意义。

我的南交点是牡羊，也就是说我今世具来牡羊的心态。牡羊属火象，它趋向于独立、先锋、领导、开创、主动；然而，它的负面趋向则是没耐性、急躁、霸道、我行我素、自我中心、暴躁、直言直语等。经常伤了别人的心却不知情。如果我不觉察我那负面的心态与作风，肯定我会在健康、关系或其他的方面出问题。然而，南交点牡羊的正面特质，我则可运用来回馈社会，比如说我把我的积极的能量为社会服务。

占星提醒我去觉察我的负面心态与言行举止，而让我迈向我的北交点天秤。天秤象征着和谐与和平、平衡、平等、体量与妥协，这些都是我所缺及不熟悉的领域。然而，经过时间在关系的的磨练，我慢慢的了解和体验天秤的优点，现在脾气削减，脸上多些笑容和比较容易亲近。生命也没有那么紧绷，平静多了。
